ONGUR & PARTNERS provided legal services for the implementation and realization of the “KKTC (The Republic of Northern Cyprus) Sea Passage Main Conduction Line Construction Project”. The project is undertaken by the Malaysian–Turkish Joint Venture and is called the “Project of Centuries” by the President of the Turkish Republic. Our office represented the foreign client before governmental authorities during the execution of the public tender and the official contracts, the notarization of the official documents, as well as the drafting of the pertinent joint venture agreement and advised the client on tax structuring. After the realization of the project, we continued to represent the client before national courts in lawsuits relating to tax claims and other substantial issues.
